Adrenalin Writing

Room 4’s goal was to wright an action paced 3 paragraph story.
Miss Dods gave us 4 videos to watch, we got to choose which one
wright about, and make an interesting story out of what we had just watched.

Next time I would like to write faster and get my ideas on the page, keep the same tense but still make it interesting.

I enjoyed writing about my chosen video, I found it a fun task that had a few challenges along the way.

I found trying to stay in the same tenc hard because I keeped switching from past to now to present.

But in the end I learnt a valuable lesson from it all.

My Reading Inquiry

Room 4’s learning goal was to collect the key information from the text.

Everyone was given a reading book that suited their reading abilities.
We read the book and wrote down the key and interesting information.
I was given a book called Amazing stories of survival, by Pamela Rushby.

What I would do better next time would have to be listening to my
instructions better and just put my best work ford.

I enjoyed reading about how people survived in harsh conditions,and
what they did to help themselves.

I found planning my work the hardest. Because I couldn't really think
of how to execute my poster, but I got there in the end.

My Inquiry, Sam Hunt a singer.

My Inquiry

Sam Hunt

Room 4's task was to find two artists to study about.
Our learning goal was to find and collect the key information
and put into our own words. For some it was easy and for other
it was hard but in end it all came out alright.
I choose to Sam Hunt, I love his songs so I decided to study and
learn more about him. At the start I thought that The Arts was just
panting and drawing, but its not, it is also cooking (Food art), Dancing,
(Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz etc,) Singing, (Rap, Pop Opera) it was so much
more than I expected.

My next steps are to stay on task and get the job done faster,
and not procrastinate. The sooner I get it done the sooner I can
move on to my next task. I liked creating and presenting my work,
I love to draw so I found drawing a old school microphone a fun challenge.
Also I like to find out more about my chosen artist, but most of all I like to
see it completed and on the wall.

I found trying to find information hard.
Most sights didn't have the info I was looking for.
Other just had random stuff. But in the end I found a good sight.

Next time I will plan out my
writing more carefully and find
one good sight full of info.

Hi I am Emma, I am an only child. I live on a sheep and beef farm with my Mum and Guy near Matawai. I love hunting, animals and motorbikes. I go to Matawai School. I am a year 7 student in Room 4. I love to go out on the farm and get muddy and go for walks with my dog Jess.

I am good at writing and reading. I love to write and read. One of my challenges are maths. My goals for this year is to get better with maths and spelling.


I am looking forward to the school holidays, and going to my aunts and uncles to ride my horse, Smoke. One of my personal achievements was going to the Easter sports with my horse and winning the dirtiest horse, also winning 5 other first ribbons as well. My family inspires me to be the best that I can be.
